Relax and enjoy a day touring the Bellarine’s top vineyards, with the whole experience taken care of with one of our knowledgeable local hosts and drivers. The Bellarine Peninsula is a name synonymous with the meticulous production of cool climate wines. Pinot gris, pinot grigio, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, riesling, zinfandel, pinot noir and shiraz await on the Vines of the Bellarine tour. Boutique wineries and family-run vineyards consistently deliver exceptional wine varieties from a distinctive maritime environment. Some wineries stand out with their breathtaking bay views, others have unique charm with memorabilia and upside down cellar doors.

The Bellarine features five-star rated wineries – as decreed by Australia’s wine expert James Halliday – Scotchmans Hill; small batch winery, Baie Wines; leading hand-craft wine-makers, Bennetts on Bellarine; and one of Australia’s best pinot noirs (winner of the Australian Pinot Noir Challenge 2018), Yes Said the Seal. These are just some of the places we like to visit on this tour. You won’t go thirsty on The Bellarine.

If you are coming from Melbourne, Port Phillip Ferries will bring you from Docklands in Melbourne to Portarlington where our tour commences. Coming from the other side of the bay? Searoad Ferries can bring you via Queenscliff. Sail to the Trail – it’s all part of the fun.

We’ll visit three of the following venues, offering an in-depth experience at each location:

Bennetts Vineyard
Set beside a rustic 100 year old dairy on the corner of Macadams lane, this charming family run vineyard offers old fashioned hospitality. Sit under the sugar gums, sip wine from a broad tasting menu and enjoy the panoramic view.

Scotchmans Hill
Established in 1982, Scotchmans Hill is located in the heart of the Bellarine Peninsula. A producer of premium cool maritime climate wines, Scotchmans Hill has been a leading local winery for over thirty years and is rated among James Halliday’s Top 100 Australian Wineries. Bellarine Peninsula grown labels include Cornelius, Scotchmans Hill and Swan Bay.

McGlashan Wallington Estate
McGlashan’s is a boutique winery specialising in Chardonnay, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio. Of course you can visit for wine tasting and sales, but their gourmet tasting platters are what tempts most people to stop and enjoy.

Oakdene Vineyards
With award winning premium cool climate wines and a highly acclaimed restaurant serving exquisitely prepared food, the unique and eclectic Oakdene Vineyard property is an experience you shouldn’t miss on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Bellarine Estate Winery
A family owned winery producing exceptional cool climate wines and craft beers. Enjoy fabulous food made with the freshest local produce while overlooking the vineyard and Port Phillip Bay. Relax on their expansive manicured lawns and enjoy a game of giant chess or checkers.

Jack Rabbit Vineyard
When only a brilliant regional experience will do. Unrivalled panoramic views across the bay. The onsite restaurant, winery and cellar door ensures the ultimate vineyard encounter. Enjoy sophisticated wines & stunning seasonal menu.

Terindah Estate
As you drive down McAdams Lane to the entrance of Terindah Estate, you gain glimpses of the breathtaking views awaiting you. It is the place for anyone interested in visiting a vineyard with award-winning wines, delicious food and stunning architectural spaces.

Basils Farm
Basil’s Farm Overlooking Swan Bay Basil’s Farm is a delightful mix of vineyard and farm. Housing llamas (Basil and Manuel), babydoll sheep, Indian runner ducks and chickens, all used as natural and sustainable approaches to improving the health of the vines in addition to providing fresh free range eggs to the café! Sample the unique wines created by biodynamic and organic methods whilst enjoying the ambiance of being surrounded by the vines, orchards and kitchen garden.

Yes Said the Seal
Flying Brick Cider House is home to Yes said the Seal, an exclusive suite of refined, limited release cool climate wines. Crafted by leading Bellarine Peninsula winemaker Darren Burke, the wines are all crafted from premium Bellarine Peninsula fruit (including from the vines onsite at Flying Brick Cider House) and are graceful and complex yet inherently cutting edge. Pull up a seat at the divine new Yes said the Seal tasting bar and enjoy a guided tasting of the full stable of their maritime climate wines.
